Media Coverage of Nasik Kumbh Mela (A study of Dainik Bhaskar Newspaper From 26th August, 2015 to 26th September, 2015)

Kumbh Mela is a symbol of Hindu Religion and it comes every 12 years at Nasik, Haridwar, Ujjain and Allahabad. Various media houses cover this mela including print, electronic and web media. In this connection, the importance of print media is more than electronic media because of availability of newspaper, magazine or TV. Newspaper and magazine is easily available for the readers and Kumbh Mela visitors also. Now we have questions in mind at present new media is also available, but this is not necessary everyone has smart phone and tools or equipment for using new media. So, printed word has a separate importance during the Kumbh Mela. In this research paper, we elaborate about various types of news, photos and photo captions published by Dainik Bhaskar Newspaper during 26th August, 2015 to 26th September, 2015, and we also put some recommendations needed to publish other types of the news and content during the Kumbh Mela.
