Understanding Conflict Affected Children: Uncovering Possibilities for Development

Abstract


It is a review of the situation in conflict affected regions and studies the current status and possibilities about how to give children their rights. Conflict includes war, insurgencies, terrorism attacks, extremism attacks, caste or religious conflicts, regional conflicts. This study reviews conflicts in Afghanistan, Jammu and Kashmir, North Eastern India, and other SouthAsian regions and their impact on children. This study is relevant in the light of “right to education,” “right to live” and in the context of “sustainable development goals.” This study is an exploratory study and gives propositions for creating possibilities for education and development of conflict affected children.
