Surprisingly enough to most people, many executives and employees are not solely motivated to work by monetary reimbursement for their time. In fact, more and more employees and executives are voicing their preference of other more important awards for their hard work instead of monetary awards. Employees from more than a few successful businesses have expressed their preference of a recognition award that they can appreciate and keep for years to come over a cash recognition bonus, which will only put them into a higher tax bracket and will not be around for years to come to remind them of their special achievements.
