Conflict of Interest in Research and Publication

Abstract


Conflict of interest is an important issue in ethics. For research in economics and business management, interest is an important point to be mentioned. Since conflict of interest can mean the bias, hence, it is the basic rule that the researcher and author have to declare for conflict of interest. The declaration can be helpful for the reader and follower to judge on the research result data and publication context. The free from hidden conflict of interest is the basic ethical rule for researcher and author. The problem of conflict of interest is one of the common misconducts in research and publication [1]. Any standard academic journal has to focuses on this problem, makes the journal free of conflict of interest and reassures that there is no conflict of interest in the published work [2, 3].
